Clayton & RPC Members - Congratulations to the RPC team (Dennis, Clayton, Mark, James, Geoff, Troy) on defeating Lynchburg 8-7 in Sunday's Star-Hill Cup. It was another classic that came down to the final match between the two captains. Dennis aced the 36th and final hole of the day to best Conway 1 up and secure the victory. The Cup will now reside at the Roanoke Putt-Putt after spending a year in Lynchburg.
Monday's tournament began with Mitchell's low round of 22 taking a 3-shot lead. With the top 6 shooting around 9-under in the second round it came down to the final tour of Course 2. Geoff's 25 and Dennis' 24 were only good enough to tie behind this week's victor Clayton. Although there were several 10's, the best nine may be Jake's 11 to begin his second round (not bad for a 6th grader!).
